Diving spots in Carry-le-Rouet

Rocky depths of 5 to 50 meters for divers of all levels, beautiful drops (between 20 and 50m) and many wrecks will make your dives unforgettable.
Sheltered creeks allow diving in any season, the water is never less than 13°C.
Carro and the Crown Sites
The black point (0 to 12m) is an ideal spot for baptisms. Shallow, protected from the wind and currents, it is home to a variety of fauna and flora that will delight the baptized.
The aragnon (0 to 17m) is composed of many rocks rising up to the surface, faults and vaults. Shallow, it offers a wonderful discovery of diving with very fishy bottom.
Sites of Sausset-les-Pins
The pirate walk (19 to 23m) is a small drop that has the advantage of being accessible at levels 1 confirmed. This dive site is a true gathering place for lobsters.
The small lime kiln (25 to 33m) is a large drop accessible to divers from level 2. Lobsters, but especially large congresses have taken up residence in the many cavities of this drop.
The large lime kiln (39 to 44m) is a magnificent drop reserved for level 2 confirmed divers. This site called "the groupers" or "merouville", due to the abundance of groupers who have chosen home, offers a dive not to be missed.
The garden of Sausset (8 to 14m) is a small drop at the exit of the port of Sausset-les-Pins. It is accessible to all and will give you the opportunity, through small tunnels, to discover an abundant fauna that will delight photographers and will enchant night divers.

Carry-le-Rouet sites
The wood of Carry (27 to 33 m) is a real oasis of life in the middle of the posidonia.
The dive site is made up of rugged rock holes and faults. You will see groupers, whole clouds of anthias or barbers, capons, daurades, lobsters, congres, morays, sars-tambours, etc...
The plain of Carry (26 to 35m), located in the middle of posidonia and composed of rugged rocks dotted with faults. Underwater wildlife is present in all spaces. There will be capons, sea bream, lobster, congres, morays, sars, antiopelle, coquettes, etc.
The secan (26 to 35m), located off Carry-le-Rouet, is a site for level 2 divers minimum. After a descent into the blue, a rocky rock slide ascends gently towards the west. This dive, thanks to its proximity to the protected nature reserve of Carry-le-Rouet, will offer you many encounters: congresses, lobsters abound in the numerous cavities formed by the scree and small fish, in number, will delight the eye of divers.

Sites de la Redonne et Méjean
The Small and Large Mornas (0 to 14m) are two rocks side by side that are located near the edge. Shallow, these sites, accessible at all levels, have the advantage of being almost always sheltered from the winds and particularly interesting because all the fauna and flora of the Mediterranean Sea are represented there. At the level of Petit Mornas a small cave houses many juvenile congresses.
The Tombant de Méjean (0 to 36m) is located between the "Grand Mornas" and the "calanque de Figuière". The site is composed of artificial reefs of various shapes (seven structures in total). Laid to prevent trawling, the structures were also used to observe the fixation of life according to the forms chosen. Diving is to be done in very clear water so that you can easily move from one structure to another.
The Mejean reef (0 to 36m) has a large rocky plateau where flora and fauna are abundant.

Sites of Niolon and the Vesse
The eyes of cats and Frapao’s tip (10 to 40m and 0 to 55m) are cut in two by a fault. On the drop, the gorgons are omnipresent, red coral occupies all the holes and some lobsters point their antennae. Next, the dive spot "la Tête de Chien" has the same characteristics. The ideal way to finish the dive is to visit the cave of cat eyes which is divided into 2 rooms: the first one with lobsters, shrimps, porcelain, sea cicadas and the second one giving access to a gut that goes up to the surface. The tip of Frapao is an exceptional dive spot that will amaze you!
Île de l'Élevine and Beaume Rousse (40m, 5 to 28m and 0 to 28m). The island of Élevine offers a dive spot that will lead you from the rock to sand through the posidonia without forgetting a large drop and a manger area. The Beaume Rousse is a large rock on a sandy bottom. This dive site accessible to all, passage for many schools of fish, offers a drop covered with small red coral branches and numerous cavities to visit.
The Moulon peninsula (10 to 12 m) offers you a dive that begins with a superb arch under water. Blocks and flat slabs are home to many sars, mostelles and sometimes even wolves. You will continue this exploration through a corridor rich in gorgonians and lobsters to arrive at the bottom of the drop. A 2m anchor is waiting for you, welded to the rock by the concretions.
